Version 1.8.0 changelog

Latest – 1.8.0

November 06, 2026

This release makes saving posts safer and gives you more ways to manage your Media Library through the Etch Connector. When you edit a post without the unfiltered_html permission, Etch better preserves existing blocks while filtering unsafe URLs, scripts, and block content.

You can now use the Etch Connector to browse, upload, download, organize, and compress Media Library images. We’ve also fixed canvas issues with nested component selection,
block outlines, and link editing.
