Got a demo yesterday on how Etch works. Can’t express enough how massively well-thought-out it is, and how everything you do and build inside the Etch editor syncs back to the Block Editor. I’m a believer now. Yah. This is going to revolutionize both the Page Builder plugins, as well as WordPress’ Core Block Editor.

I’m both incredibly impressed at the development speed and feeling somewhat smug that I took the leap of faith when I saw so many naysayers banging on about “vapourware”. I have a feeling that within a relatively short space of time we are going to witness some Etch-built sites appearing and there will be a real buzz of excitement in the community when this happens.
In terms of functionality and UX, Etch feels like a breath of fresh air when compared to everything else that’s on the market. It makes me hopeful about the future of WordPress.
