Etch 0.1.2
October 17, 2024
The Etch Bar is growing up, but you should ignore style rendering issues in Gutenberg for this version.
Full Release Details
Etch Bar: Resizable Drawer
You can now control the vertical height of the Etch drawer.
Etch Bar: Command Click Class Without Cursor in Editor
You previously had to have the cursor inside the editor in order to CMD click a class. Now the cursor position / focus doesn’t matter.
Etch Bar: Code is Folded by Default for Elements With Children
The Etch Drawer doesn’t fully open on initial click anymore. You only see all the code if you want to (via unfold). This saves a tremendous amount of screen real estate while ensuring that you can still see and interact with the most important stuff (selector and attributes).
Etch Bar: Styling Better Matches Mockup
Cleaning things up.
Etch Bar: Dummy Icon Functionality (Add Elements, etc.)
Ignore these for now.
Etch Bar: Edit in Gutenberg Icon/Action
Easily go back to the block editor from Etch.
Etch Bar: Front-End Preview Icon/Action
Easily view the front-end from Etch.
